From 1959 to 1962 the US Government built a massive underground complex at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. With the complicity of the local residents and the owners of the world-famous resort, the facility, called “Project Greek Island,” was kept secret for 30 years until an article in the Washington Post revealed its existence.
